Mike brings decades of experience helping SaaS companies grow—from building go-to-market teams to navigating scale and complexity. Most recently serving as the CRO and EVP, Worldwide Field Operations at SmartSheet, Mike has spent much of his career focused on what makes businesses tick: clear strategy, strong execution, and a deep understanding of customer needs.
As more companies look to AI to improve how they communicate, Mike’s perspective and unique insights will help us scale thoughtfully and stay focused on delivering real value.
We recently sat down with Mike to learn what drew him to Prezent, what sets the platform apart, and how he sees business communication evolving.

What made you want to join the board, and what excites you most about Prezent?
There were a few things. First, the people. Some I’ve known before, some I’ve just met—but across the board, I’ve been impressed.
Second, I’ve spent most of my career helping high-growth companies scale. I see that same kind of inflection point here. Prezent is at a pivotal stage, and the timing feels right.
What really excites me is the intersection of storytelling, AI, and business communication. Most of the tools we’ve been using haven’t changed much in years. It’s time for something new. Prezent isn’t just another productivity tool—it can truly transform how teams communicate ideas.
Even though I haven’t used the platform directly, I’ve spent time digging into it. It’s clear how much value it can add. It helps teams create clear, consistent, and polished narratives, faster than ever. That kind of clarity and professionalism is a huge advantage.
What makes Prezent different from other communication or AI tools?
It’s the combination of storytelling depth and AI-powered speed.
Prezent doesn’t just give you a template. It helps you build a high-quality, well-structured message—quickly and consistently. Most tools can’t do that.
You end up with communication that’s not just efficient, but also sharp and creative. That’s rare. Clarity and professionalism is a huge advantage.
How do you see AI changing communication?
AI has the potential to democratize communication. There are so many people with great ideas who struggle to express them clearly. Tools like Prezent can help them structure their thoughts, improve storytelling, and get their message across with more confidence.
But it’s not just about speed or efficiency. What sets Prezent apart is its blend of storytelling depth and AI-powered execution. It doesn’t just give you a template. It helps you create communication that’s well-structured, clear, and creative at scale. That kind of balance between polish and authenticity is rare.
As more companies adopt AI, keeping communication human and intentional is going to matter more than ever. Prezent is in a strong position to lead that evolution.
What perspective are you bringing to the board?
I bring a mix of operational discipline and customer-first thinking. I’ve built and scaled SaaS companies, and I’ve also been on the buying side of enterprise tools—so I know what customers actually care about.
I also have a track record of building high-performing go-to-market teams. That’s something I’m excited to help with at Prezent as the company grows.
At the same time, this is a space that’s changing fast—and I’m here to learn too. I’m especially interested in how design thinking and narrative creation evolve with AI. That’s a big opportunity, and one I think Prezent is well positioned to own.
Where do you see the biggest opportunity for Prezent?
The biggest one is embedding Prezent more deeply into how teams work—into their day-to-day communication and workflows. That’s where the real impact happens.
Beyond that, there’s a clear opportunity to expand across industries and geographies. Communication matters everywhere. And Prezent has a role to play in helping more teams get their ideas across clearly, quickly, and consistently.
What’s your superpower?
I have a knack for simplifying complexity and turning it into actionable strategy.
Whether it’s navigating go-to-market challenges or helping teams stay focused on what really moves the needle, I try to bring clarity when things get noisy. That’s something every growing company needs.
And I’ve had the chance to build some great teams over the years—I’m looking forward to supporting that here as well.
